After so much work, I finally have the chance to upload it!

These are my favorite sneakers in the world. They’ve been with me for more than four years, so when I received news that they aren’t wearable anymore (the hole on the left shoe’s sole was too damaged to fix) I decided to give them my sort of proper sendoff.

After seeing a tutorial on how to make your own galaxy shoes on the Crafts tag on Tumblr, I immediately knew what I was going to paint. Portal!

It took a few days, but it’s been a long time since I’ve made work I’m proud of.

Also! If you’re planning to paint your own sneakers, don’t forget to cover your work with a finish, like a spray varnish, to protect your fabulous work. You wouldn’t want it to fade during those rainy days!
